allied engineering, inc. (AEI) is currently providing full-service engineering support to HKTA / architects of Portland, Maine for the additions/renovations of five elementary school buildings in the district.  Two buildings, Small Elementary School and Kaler Elementary School were completed and occupied in September 2003.  The third, Brown Elementary School is currently under construction and scheduled for occupancy in September 2004.  The fourth school, Dyer Elementary School is due out for bid in April 2004.  Each school has been approximately 50,000 square feet of space with approximate budgets of $5 Million.  The schools are each designed for 400 students.
