University of Maine - Lord Hall
Orono, Maine

AEI is currently is currently working with Ann Beha Associates of Boston to renovate this 1930’s classroom and lab space into an art studio/gallery/teaching space.  This is a major undertaking for the University in that there are significant structural, mechanical, and architectural hurdles to overcome to achieve the Owner's Program functions for these spaces.  One example is the elimination of two floor levels in one section of the building to accommodate a new single floor level allowing high bay gallery space at grade level.
