Over the years,
allied
engineering
has welcomed the challenge of taking on difficult renovation
projects and new building designs. Through these efforts we have
gained considerable knowledge of various types of building
construction and techniques. We carry the lessons we learn from
each project on to the next forging lasting relationships with our
clients along the way.

Rumford Hospital
Renovation/Addition - Rumford, Maine
Concept design (CON)
for a major hospital renovation including a consolidated nursing
unit, ambulatory surgery, emergency department, and major power
plant upgrades.
St. Mary's
Regional Medical Center
-
Lewiston, Maine
Renovation of a
7,300 SF Intensive Care Unit including phased construction of
all new HVAC and electrical. Related work in included new air
handling units for ICU and Radiology.
AEI
is working closely with IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. on a
50,000 sf expansion into adjacent space in Westbrook, ME.
We
have recently completed our third Class 100 clean room design at Alpha
Industries.
New
3,000 SCFM compressed air dryer at the United Technologies - Pratt
& Whitney facility in North Berwick,

Cony High School -
Augusta,
Maine
allied
engineering, inc. (AEI) is teamed up with PDT
Architects of Portland, ME to design the new 172,000 sf, $28
Million Dollar Cony High School in Augusta, Maine.
South Portland School Department -
South
Portland,
Maine
allied
engineering, inc. (AEI)
is
currently providing full-service engineering support to
HKTA / architects of Portland, Maine for
the additions/renovations of five elementary school buildings in
the district.
University of
Maine - Lord Hall -
Orono,
Maine
AEI
is currently is
currently working with Ann Beha Associates of Boston to renovate
this 1930’s classroom and lab space into an art
studio/gallery/teaching space.
University of
Maine - Aubert Hall -
Orono,
Maine
In the summer of 2001,
AEI
was selected by the University of Maine
System to perform Commissioning Services for Aubert Hall on the
Orono Campus.
