MDOT Acadia Gateway

Allied Engineering served as Prime consultant to the MaineDOT on this $30 million site development project involving a Tourist Information Center, and a transit bus storage/maintenance facility to service Bar Harbor and the Trenton seasonal traffic conditions.  Phase I of the project, a Bus Maintenance facility for the Downeast Transportation Service, with access road, utilities, and preliminary Route 3 improvements has been completed. Allied Engineering is now part of the second and third phases of  design and construction which includes an Intermodal Center and a Welcome Center for the National Park Service, and a community Theater to be operated by the National Park Service (Phase IV).

The Bus Maintenance project has received LEED Gold certification under LEED TM 2.1 requirements.
