MDOT Acadia Gateway

Allied Engineering served as Prime consultant to the MaineDOT on this $30 million site development project involving a Tourist Information Center, and a transit bus storage/maintenance facility to service Bar Harbor and the Trenton seasonal traffic conditions.  Phase I of the project, a Bus Maintenance facility for the Downeast Transportation Service, with access road, utilities, and preliminary Route 3 improvements has been completed. Future phases of design and construction will include an Intermodal Center (Phase II), a Welcome Center for the National Park Service Phase III), and a community Theater, to be operated by the National Park Service (Phase IV).

The project is currently registered with the US Green Building Council for Gold certification under LEEDTM 2.1 requirements.
