Allied Engineering (AEI) provided mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and technology design services for this $28 million dollar high school.
Engineering highlights of this building include:
- Exceeded ASHRAE 90.1 Energy code requirements by 31%
- Worked with Efficiency Maine and the Maine PUC to secure $100,000 in funding for energy saving features
- Incorporated waterless urinals, faucet sensors to automatically shut off water, and low flow toilets
- Used motion sensors and lighting controls to minimize the amount of time lighting is on when spaces are unoccupied
- Included a security system and closed circuit television monitoring system
- Designed the technology system utilizing ceiling mounted projectors in the teaching spaces instead of televisions.
