New USM Bioscience Lab is Complete – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held

USM Bioscience Lab - Engineering Design by Allied Engineering

Allied Engineering worked with HKTA Architects, USM Staff, and Landry/French Construction to make this project a reality.  Senator Collins took time out of her busy schedule to be with us during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This project would not have been possible without her successful efforts to secure $800,000 in congressional funding.

The new lab will be instrumental in building USM’s capacity to readily engage students in undergraduate research projects under faculty guidance. This type of research experience is critically important to ensuring that USM students are prepared for STEM careers or graduate school. The project also provides a high-level facility that enables faculty to conduct research that enhances teaching and learning, helps drive research and development, and positions USM for competitive research grants.
