Allied Engineering was recently awarded a project in collaboration with Scott Simons Architects for a net zero project at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. A net zero energy building means that on an annual basis the building will produce as much energy as it consumes. The project will be slated to achieve a LEED Platinum rating with the U.S. Green Building Council.
