Groundbreaking for a Biomass Boiler at The Jackson Laboratory

Allied Engineering will be the Engineer-of-Record for this very exciting biomass boiler project at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine.  Tony Davis, P.E., LEED AP represented Allied Engineering at the groundbreaking ceremony held on Monday, November 22nd.

Officials with The Jackson Laboratory said the  project is expected to result in the largest wood pellet boiler in the country. The project, funded in part by a $1 million grant from Efficiency Maine Trust, is expected to result in a $22 million investment in Maine’s economy over the next 10 years, lab officials said Monday.
